About Session
Finance leaders now face a real architectural choice: connect best-in-class external models to their ERP/Accounting System through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), lean on the AI agents native to the platform, or run both. Each path trades off differently across capability, context, control, and cost. This session gives you a decision framework built for accounting and ERP/Accounting environments : starting with the question that drives everything else: what context and data transformation does each approach need to produce trustworthy results? We’ll then work through risk mitigation head-on: data governance and residency, access control, auditability, and guarding against confidently wrong output in workflows where accuracy is non-negotiable. Grounded in real NetSuite and Intacct AI integration work, you’ll leave able to match the right AI approach to the right use case instead of betting the finance function on a single bet.
Learning Objective
After this session, attendees will be able to:
- Compare MCP-connected best-in-class models against on-platform AI agents across context, capability, control, and cost.
- Determine the data transformation and grounding steps each approach requires to deliver reliable results in an ERP setting.
- Apply a risk-mitigation checklist : governance, access, data residency, auditability : before deploying AI in finance workflows.
