About Amy Konary
Amy Konary has spent her career studying how companies make money and what breaks when their business models change.
She is founder and chair of the Subscribed Institute at Zuora, where she convenes 1,600+ VP-level operators and builds frameworks from performance data on more than 1,000 businesses. Before Zuora, she spent nearly two decades as an industry analyst at IDC, launching its first research practice on software as a service and naming the category she was forecasting. She later led IDC’s software pricing and licensing research and won the firm’s highest research honor.
Amy teaches “Beyond Pricing: Strategies for Growth” at London Business School and has guest lectured at Harvard Business School, Stanford GSB, and ESADE. Her work appears in the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, and Harvard Business Review. Her current focus is AI monetization: what it costs, what buyers will actually pay for, and what companies owe the customers who fund it.
